Berta Salinas was born in Madrid in 1982. Graduated in Fine Arts at the Complutense University in Madrid and with a Film School degree, she currently works between the artistic medium and Art Direction, combining both disciplines.

From drawing to engraving and photography, her work evolved mainly into embroidery, using a needle as if it were a pencil. After two collections of embroidered work, she begins to investigate fabrics, eventually creating a collection of cushions made and embroidered by hand.

She currently works between the artistic medium and Art Direction, combining both disciplines. Both in her work and her photographs there is an exploration of the intimate sphere, and the different connections between the people and objects that surround us represented by a recurring symbology based on anatomy, nature and everyday objects. She creates artwork based on her photographs that inspire most of the drawings and fabrics.
